Today has been an odd mix of win and fail.
Win: Spent most of the day listening to Christmas music and got half of my tree up (it’s a 12 footer and I’m a mere 5’3 putting that bad boy up all by myself, takes some time…)
Fail: feeling crummy but getting all my gear and shoes on for a quick and easy 4-5 or whatever length I felt like run, only to get outside, take a few strides, hate it and the cold, stop, start again, stop and turn back home.
Does opening leaves on a Christmas tree count as exercise? Even active rest?
Ugh I don’t know what is wrong with me. My tummy/body just feels off. I’m not sick, it’s just… Crummy, you know? And that feeling travelled to my legs.
More fail: I feel really guilty. And if this is a preview of my winter training season then its looking pretty miserable and I need to figure out a way to make this work.
Massive fail: I have no clue when I’ll be posting part 2 of the half marathon recap. I’m thinking I’ll post pictures from the day in the meantime
I wonder if this is burnout? Because I’ve upped the intensity and length of my weekday runs? Hmm…
I’m off to work, happy running!
